Summary of 10 Best Water Dispensers 2021 Winners
10 Best Water Cooler Dispensers
1. Avalon Limited Edition – Best Overall Water Cooler Dispenser
This Avalon Limited Edition Water Cooler Dispenser was our favorite of the bunch, because of its sleek and attractive design and robust stainless steel construction. It comes with a lot of essential features that make it a great addition to any home. You can choose from three temperatures, for example: chilly, cool, or scorching hot. Even better, this dispenser cleans itself. It sanitizes and purifies itself, preventing the accumulation of hazardous bacteria or germs.
The bottom-loading style of this dispenser is one of its best features. No more hauling that hefty bottle to the top of the machine and risking a catastrophic spill while trying to get it into the hole upside-down. Instead, you simply place the bottle in the dispenser’s bottom right-side-up.
The compressor motor on this dispenser, on the other hand, is extremely loud. It became the loudest kitchen appliance, even louder than the refrigerator. But we’re ready to overlook the noise because of the added features, such as the built-in nightlight, which makes it easier to collect water in the dark, and the empty bottle indication, which lets you know when it’s time to refill the bottle.
2. Giantex Primo Home – Best Value Water Cooler Dispenser
This Giantex Primo Home Water Cooler Dispenser provides excellent value at a reasonable price for anyone on a budget. It still has all of the functionality you require. To keep the price cheap, nothing was left out. For example, the hot water dispenser has an easy-to-use security lock to keep your children from getting burned by accident.
A detachable water barrel seat is included with this dispenser. It’s easy to disassemble for cleaning and disinfection because of this. It also features an anti-dust mite design, which ensures that no impurities enter your water, keeping it safe for you and your family.
The poor rate of water dispensing was one of the flaws we noted. It takes a long time to fill your cup, but for the price, we can overlook the somewhat slower rate of filling. Overall, we believe it is one of the 10 best water cooler dispensers for the money, and we strongly suggest it to anyone searching for the greatest deal.
3. Brio Self Cleaning Water Cooler Dispenser – Premium Choice
The Brio Self Cleaning Water Cooler Dispenser is our premium choice pick, packed with top-notch features for the utmost in convenience. It not only provides amazing performance and functionality, but it is also a stylish appliance that will not detract from the appearance of your home. The ozone self-cleaning feature is one of our favorite features of this dispenser. You won’t have to disassemble and sanitize your water dispenser any more; simply push a button and the Brio dispenser will clean itself, saving you time and effort!
The bottom-loading water jug is another helpful feature. Simply place the water jug in the bottom of the dispenser, and it is ready to use. If you have children, you’ll appreciate the child-safety lock on the hot water, which prevents your children from being burned by accident.
Other tiny conveniences, such as three different temperature settings and a nightlight that makes it simple to see what you’re doing when you walk out for a drink in the middle of the night, make your life a little easier. Just keep in mind that all of these extras will come at a cost. However, if you have the cash, the convenience is difficult to beat.
4. Farberware Freestanding – One of the Best Water Cooler Dispensers
This Farberware Freestanding Water Cooler Dispenser is on the less expensive end of the scale. Unfortunately, it appears to be the case! It’s not a particularly handsome appliance, but it gets the job done. Even so, it’s a case of “you get what you paid for.”
This dispenser appears to have a mini-fridge built into the bottom. That would be fantastic! Unfortunately, it’s only a storage cabinet, however it’s still functional.
This dispenser may be used with either three or five gallon water jugs, offering you some versatility. It’s also covered by a two-year warranty, so you can rest easy.
The heating and cooling elements are the source of our complaints regarding this dispenser. Before you run out of hot or cold water, you can only get about two glasses. Expect lukewarm water after two cups of cold water until the holding tank cools down. The same goes for the hot water. This terrible flaw, in our opinion, is what holds this dispenser back. But, in the end, it consistently provides chilly water at a reasonable price, so we can’t really complain.
5. Avalon Premium Countertop Water Cooler Dispenser
Check out the Avalon Premium Countertop from these best 10 water cooler dispensers if you’re short on space but still want the convenience of a chilled water dispenser. It has a small footprint that makes it easy to place on your counter. Because of the small size, it must be loaded from the top; not the most convenient, but at least you’ll know when you’re out of water!
We initially assumed that the cool water was barely cold and that the hot water would never rise above warm. Then, concealed in the rear, we discovered the temperature selector knobs and were able to tune the water to our preferred temperatures. Because the hot water was readily hot enough to burn, the child-safety lock became quite useful.
The most serious flaw we discovered is that this dispenser is inefficient in terms of energy use. The first month we utilized this dispenser, we noticed an increase in our electricity consumption. It wasn’t a significant increase, but it was visible. Is the convenience of immediate hot and cold water worth the additional energy cost? You’ll have to make a decision.
6. Nutrichef Countertop Water Cooler Dispenser
We had high hopes for the Nutrichef Countertop Water Cooler Dispenser, however it fell short of our expectations. It looks good, which is why we were hoping for more. It has a countertop design that saves room and is compatible with three or five-gallon water jugs. So far, so good. It fit neatly on the counter and looked well in our kitchen.
This dispenser, according to the papers, heats the water to 175 degrees Fahrenheit and then cools it to 40 degrees. We have no doubt that it heats the water adequately because we have never had any issue with hot water. The frigid water, on the other hand, was never very frigid. It certainly never became as cool as we had hoped.
We found it difficult to load this dispenser. We spilled water every time since the jugs wouldn’t sit well in this gadget. The plastic taste in our water was the worst thing we observed. The plastic flavor lingered even after numerous jugs of water had been consumed. As a result, we recommend opting for a similarly priced option, such as the Giantex dispenser in second place on this list.
7. Primo 900127 Top Loading Water Cooler Dispenser
You can select between quick ice-cold, cool, or piping-hot water with the Primo 900127 Top Loading Water Cooler at any time. It has three independent water taps, allowing you to access all three temperatures at the same time. We were delighted that this cooler came with this function, especially considering the low price.
We also enjoyed how attractive this item was. It has a stainless steel and black finish that looks great in practically any kitchen. However, it is flimsy and does not feel sturdy. Worse, once the jug is on top, the whole thing feels a little top-heavy and like it might tip over.
The water had a strong plastic taste when we initially started using this dispenser. It eventually went away, but it took a whole five-gallon container to do so. We couldn’t get the ice-cold tap to give us truly cold water no matter what we tried.
8. Brio Bottom Loading Water Cooler Water Dispenser
One of the most expensive dispensers we’ve evaluated is the Brio CLBL420V2 Water Cooler Dispenser. We had high hopes for it, but we were sadly disappointed. It has a number of flaws, one of which is that it is pricey for what you get. However, there were a few aspects of it that we enjoyed.
We liked the fact that this dispenser has a practical bottom-loading construction. It also has three different water temps, each with its own nozzle. However, when it comes time to pour water, you’ll notice that the lights for the hot and cold dispensers have been misplaced! This might easily result in an accident, causing someone to burn themselves accidently.
We were particularly unimpressed by the low-cost materials employed to manufacture this dispenser. It’s readily dented, and ours had two dents right out of the box. We had high expectations for such a high-priced item.
9. COSTWAY Top Loading Water Cooler Dispenser
The COSTWAY Top Loading Water Cooler Dispenser is one of the least expensive versions we reviewed, but it’s far from the best value. In fact, we strongly advise you to avoid this model. Although it is reasonably priced, it is the only positive aspect of this machine.
We noted that it dispensed water really slowly when we first put it up. However, we were able to look past it. After that, we noticed that the water tasted awful! The foul taste persisted even when we switched to a second five-gallon container.
Then we came across the underlying issue. The dispenser began to leak. When we got home, the floor was soaked and the jug was empty. This was a deal-breaker for us.
10. LeMuna Water Cooler Dispenser
We enjoy bottom-loading dispensers, so we were expecting to appreciate the LeMuna Water Cooler Dispenser. It’s not only bottom-loading, but it also offers three different water temps to pick from, each with its own nozzle. Apart from that, we couldn’t think of anything positive to say about this dispenser.
To begin with, it is quite expensive, yet it does not provide sufficient value to warrant the cost. The cold water dispenser never got cold, which was a disappointment. It got a little cooler than room temperature, but it was never really cold. Despite this, the compressor remained on all the time and was extremely noisy. Finally, we would recommend almost any other dispenser above this one.
As you can see, there is a lot of variation among dispensers. So, how can you know which is the best option for you? It’s a personal decision, but after using so many of these dispensers, we’ve figured out what the most crucial factors are to consider while making your choice.
Bottom-Loading vs Top-Loading
Top-loading dispensers are the ones we’re all familiar with. The water jug is placed upside-down in a hole on the top of the dispenser, which sits on the floor or counter.
There are two issues with top-loading dispensers. To begin, you must first raise that hefty jug high enough to place it on the dispenser. Second, you’ll have to turn that hefty jug upside down and slip it into the hole while risking spilling water everywhere.
Dispensers that load from the bottom utilize a different technique. These 10 best water dispensers allow you to place the jug upright at the bottom of the machine, eliminating the need to elevate it to full height or turn it over. This is a lot more convenient method, although getting a dispenser with this functionality can be pricey.
Water Dispenser Cleaning and Disinfecting
Because you’ll be drinking from this dispenser, it needs to be kept clean and hygienic. This entails dismantling and carefully cleaning the dispenser on a regular basis.
When it comes to cleaning, certain dispensers are quite difficult to dismantle and reinstall. Others are made to be readily dismantled and cleaned.
Self-cleaning dispensers are among our favorites. Simply press a button, and the dispenser cleans and disinfects itself, saving you time and effort.
Coolers and heaters are included in these 10 best water dispensers, allowing you to access both cold and hot water. But how cold is it and how hot is it? Dispensers do not all heat and chill in the same way. Some perform poorly in this area, never quite making your water cold or hot enough.
We prefer dispensers that have temperature adjustment knobs so you can change the temperature directly. This provides you with the most flexibility.
Dispensers with three temperatures, on the other hand, are fantastic. Because you have three independent water taps, one for each temperature, you have more choice with less effort.

Water Dispenser Price
In an ideal world, you could just choose the dispenser with all of the features you require and leave it at that. However, we are always hampered by another factor: cost.
Some of the devices we evaluated cost more than twice as much as other models. They all do the same purpose, so it’s up to you to decide how important the features of each dispenser are to you.
Conclusion on the Best Water Dispensers
We filtered down all the possibilities to the three that impressed us the most after testing and writing evaluations on several different water cooler dispensers. The Avalon B3BLOZONEWTRCLRBLK Water Cooler Dispenser was our overall favorite. It comes with three different water temps and a simple bottom-loading design. It’s also self-cleaning, saving you the time and effort of disassembling the dispenser to sanities it.
We recommend the Giantex EP 22276Water Cooler Dispenser if you’re seeking for the best value. It is reasonably priced while still providing outstanding performance and features such as a detachable water barrel seat that allows for easy cleaning and a security lock that prevents youngsters from being burned by hot water.
Finally, we propose the Brio CLBL520SC as our top pick. This self-cleaning bottom-loading dispenser features three temperature settings to pick from, as well as a child-safety lock on the hot water to keep your kids safe.
